This is an amazing set of photos that I found on NPR. They were taken by Rose-Lynn Fisher using a camera and an electron microscope. Underneath each picture it notes the bee’s body part and how many times the microscope magnified it.

Although the school issued cameras don’t come equipped with fancy zoom lenses, you can still take high quality nature photographs with proper lighting and a little bit of patience. For optimal conditions, consider taking photos when sunlight is diffused, like in early morning (when the sun is rising) or late evening, before the sun sets completely.
